"A Perfect Getaway"
Staying at the Mougle Lodge far exceeded our expectations. It is the perfect little cabin for a couple or small family, and was larger than we had expected. The owners clearly take pride in this property that adjoins their own house, and have thought of all the necessary comforts, including wireless internet, flatscreen TV and cable, stereo system, microwave, etc. The property is well maintained, and despite being right next door to the owners, we had plenty of privacy but also the convenience of a "local expert" to provide guidance if necessary. We are excited for a return visit.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Mougle Loddge over her birthday weekend. I couldn't have asked for a more cozy place to spend the weekend - I only wish we could have stayed longer. Its close proximity to downtown Truckee and to Squaw and Sugar Bowl was ideal. We will definitely return for (hopefully) a longer visit!

I would recommend the Mougle Lodge to any couple looking for a quiet getaway in Tahoe! It's cute and cozy place. My husband and I are avid cyclists and it was in a perfect location for easy access to bike lanes and good rides. We really enjoyed our stay.

"So Comfortable and Clean" My 12 year old daughter and I enjoyed the Mougle Lodge very wonderful place for a special mother-daughter get- away. It was well supplied with anything we might need, and the craftsmanship of Mr. Vella. Its evident. The living area is all one big room, so the only privacy for changing is if you go to the bathroom. No problem for us, but might make it less comfortable with a mixed group sharing this place. Perfect for a couple, family or "the girls/boys get -away". The owners were gracious and available if we needed them, but never
intrusive. They are very professional too and returned my deposit immediately! I appreciated the details like finding our parking spot always ready for us even tho it snowed the whole time we were there. I never had to shovel it out!! My daughter learned how to snowboard at Tahoe Donner and we were pleased with the value we got from the lift -rental-lesson package we took advantage of. The instructors were excellent, and unfortunately we had occasion to discover that the ski patrol was wonderful too when my daughter broke her wrist! The instructor and ski patrol took marvelous care of us, taking our rental gear back for us, and helping me get my daughter down to our vehicle. Dr. Chez at Gateway Urgent Care in Truckee was great, and did a perfect job of setting my daughter's wrist. Tho we ended on a "broken" note, the overall
trip was wonderful, and I will definitely return to the Vella's properties! I have already recommended this place to a number of friends.

"Tahoe Donner Condo" My boyfriend and I just spent 5 nights in this wonderful condo in Truckee. It was spotlessly clean and has every possible convenience one could imagine. The host provided information for any question a traveler could have from places to eat, to thorough
information about activities in the area. All the information was extremely well organized. I would highly recommend this condo!!!! This property would not be good for someone who is mobility impaired.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Tahoe-Donner rental. The decor with hardwood floors, concrete counter-tops, state of the art appliances, etc. was better than expected. This unit is perfect for 2 - 4 people, and is clean, comfortable and cozy.

Positive Everything about this chalet is perfect, the bed is
comfortable, everything feels modern and new, yet
cozy, comfortable, and clean, it's literally right on
the ski hill, and the price is perfect. Our family of
four couldn't have been happier (5 yr old and 2 year
old girls). We loved relaxing in front of the
crackling fire, sipping hot cocoa on the back porch,
walking to the ski hill, swimming at the nearby
Recreation Center with it's heated pool and
fabulous jacuzzi's, and exploring adorable down
town Truckee. Lunch at the eclectic "Squeezed In"
was delicious and a unique, must-try dining
experience. We'll definitely be back. A perfect
place to stay while our daughter's learn to ski. Five

The first thing that is striking upon entering the front door of the Chalet is the incredible cleanliness. Having traveled a lot, it means so much to be able to stay in a beautifully appointed and pristine environment. In addition, there are plenty of cleaning supplies to make sure that the Chalet is kept clean .
Concrete countertops, Wine Cooler, several different heaters in the living space, all created a warm and elegant experience.
I would absolutely recommend the Donner Chalet. It is also very "kid friendly" with a game box filled with all kinds of games and decks of cards.

We stayed at the Donner Chalet for our wedding anniversary weekend and it really met our expectations in every way. It was a cosy, nicely decorated condo with a nice view and very close to the ski area. We brought our 2 small kids (age 4 and 1) and the condo was big enough to accommodate all 4 of us. My daughter did ski school for the first time and loved it. It was a really memorable weekend and we would definitely consider coming back. Thanks Trudy!

Thank you, Trudy, for an absolutely wonderful getaway! As a single mom looking for an affordable last minute escape to the mountains, I truly appreciate your offering your condo in the Tahoe/Donner area. We had the best time! We skied at night, took a lesson, swam in the spa, played fuze ball and ping-pong, went to "trivia night" at the pizza place, and splurged on the most excellent dinner at "The Lodge" restaurant. All in two days!
The only hard part was having to come home so soon :( But, we'll be back! Thanks again,

This was the second time we stayed in this condo, and I still only have good things to say about it. We enjoyed snowboarding at the Tahoe Donner Ski Hill in the daytime and relaxing by the fire watching DVDs and TV at night. The condo is so cozy. We went to Boreal one day to snowboard there. It's only about a 10-15 minute drive and offers more runs. I would recommend this condo to anyone looking to stay in the Truckee area. We went up a night early and got a hotel room in Truckee that was double the price of the condo. This condo is definately the way to go.

Very Cozy, We are not Skiers But we enjoyed our time in Truckee, we spent our 11th anniv. there, with everything you could think of nearby made our time there very nice, the amenities of the condo were excellent, was able to make a nice romantic dinner for my wife, and spend a lovely evening together, the condo itself is really nice and well kept, very clean, and everything works, bed is comfortable, showers good, and kitchen is fully equiped, we will definetly be back,Jill & David Padilla , California

We brought our two young kids to stay at this condo and I must say that the location of the condo to the slopes took more than half of the work out of the whole skiing process! I've never stayed at a more convenient location for skiing in the Tahoe area. The condo was very comfortable and secure and had all of the amenities that we needed for a great stay. The kids also loved the fact that there was a great hill for sledding right behind the condo, so their snow fun continued well after the lifts closed. This allowed some relaxation time for my husband and me while the kids played until they dropped! Easy access to shops and restaurants in Truckee for evening outings. We really enjoyed the evening here. Last night we staed at Squaw Creak Resort and dropped $300 for one night!! We arrived here today and were amazed that we got more dwelling space, more amenities, more peace and quiet for a third of the price. We will refer Friends and Family in the future! It is good to see honest and kind Entreprenuers like Trudy. we are hoping the unit doesn't sell soon for we would love to com back and stay here again soon. Spent 2 days in Sept and found the place perfect for 2, comfy bed, all tastefully decorated and all comforts of home. Will be going back and would recommend for anyone with 2-3 people. Bed was very comfy!
Had several nice chats with the owners on premises-this is our second stay with these fine folks. Only reason rated 4 and not 5 is bathroom and shower downstairs as is kitchen and food prep area. Liviving and b/room upstairs and seperate. No biggie just the way it is laid out. Definitely would recommend.

"The Mougle Lodge was the perfect respite for kicking off my retirement years. I was the fourth guest and spent 16 days there in July and early August, 2009. With a small, well stocked kitchen area, great flat screen TV, wireless internet, comfortable bed, small outdoor deck and two refrigerators plus one freezer, it contains all necessary amenities.
The location is ideal for the outdoor enthusiast. I fished several of the regions' lakes, plus the Truckee River during my stay. Access to hiking is also excellent. A big plus is the proximity to the town of Truckee, which has lots of character plus great restaurants and pubs!
Trudy and Mark were the most gracious hosts! It is important to know that while they live on the premises, there was never an issue of feeling that there was not enough privacy. The lodge is close to the main home, but Mark and Trudy were most respectful of the fact that I was on vacation! I would highly recommend this little gem if you're planning a few days in Truckee to fish, hike, ski or just get away from it all!

Your loft, kitchen and large new shower were all wonderful. Nights were quiet with virtually no traffic on the residential street which makes your location easy to find. Walks through the neighborhood in the morning were refreshing and all others seen on the route were friendly and polite, including Einstein - the neighbors loveable but shy lab who would walk on the deck in the morning and stand waiting for me to give him a pat on the head while I drank coffee and discussed the events for the upcoming day. As owners, you were close by and helpful if we had questions, but were never intrusive. The 700 sq ft space seemed very spacious, the beds very comfortable, and there was everything we needed to have a wonderful stay, We put this property down as a great find in our ventures away from home. When we come back to the Tahoe area, no question where we will try to stay. | I stayted at this condo in Truckee, for three nights during the Fourth of July weekend. I found the condo to be in very good conditions, very comfortable, very clean, very neat and very cute. One of my friends slept on the EZ Bed and found it very comfortable and easy to set up. We made omelettes and found it very convenient that there were cooking utensils and salt and pepper, among other things. The condo is very close to Donner Lake and other hiking trails, Kings Beach and even Tahoe City. I would definitely go back to Truckee/Tahoe and will definitely stay at this place again. Positive Everything about this chalet is perfect, the bed is

crackling fire, sipping hot cocoa on the back porch,
walking to the ski hill, swimming at the nearby
Recreation Center with it's heated pool and
fabulous jacuzzi's, and exploring adorable down
town Truckee. Lunch at the eclectic "Squeezed In"
was delicious and a unique, must-try dining
experience. We'll definitely be back. A perfect
place to stay while our daughter's learn to ski. Five

The first thing that is striking upon entering the front door of the Chalet is the incredible cleanliness. Having traveled a lot, it means so much to be able to stay in a beautifully appointed and pristine environment. In addition, there are plenty of cleaning supplies to make sure that the Chalet is kept clean .
Concrete countertops, Wine Cooler, several different heaters in the living space, all created a warm and elegant experience.
I would absolutely recommend the Donner Chalet. It is also very "kid friendly" with a game box filled with all kinds of games and decks of cards.

It was a cosy, nicely decorated condo with a nice view and very close to the ski area. We brought our 2 small kids (age 4 and 1) and the condo was big enough to accommodate all 4 of us. This was the second time we stayed in this condo, and I still only have good things to say about it. We enjoyed snowboarding at the Tahoe Donner Ski Hill in the daytime and relaxing by the fire watching DVDs and TV at night. The condo is so cozy. We went to Boreal one day to snowboard there. It's only about a 10-15 minute drive and offers more runs. I would recommend this condo to anyone looking to stay in the Truckee area. We went up a night early and got a hotel room in Truckee that was double the price of the condo. This condo is definately the way to go.

We brought our two young kids to stay at this condo and I must say that the location of the condo to the slopes took more than half of the work out of the whole skiing process! I've never stayed at a more convenient location for skiing in the Tahoe area. The condo was very comfortable and secure and had all of the amenities that we needed for a great stay. The kids also loved the fact that there was a great hill for sledding right behind the condo, so their snow fun continued well after the lifts closed. This allowed some relaxation time for my husband and me while the kids played until they dropped! Easy access to shops and restaurants in Truckee for evening outings. Had several nice chats with the owners on premises-this is our second stay with these fine folks. Only reason rated 4 and not 5 is bathroom and shower downstairs as is kitchen and food prep area. Liviving and b/room upstairs and seperate. No biggie just the way it is laid out. Definitely would recommend.

"The Mougle Lodge was the perfect respite for kicking off my retirement years. I was the fourth guest and spent 16 days there in July and early August, 2009. With a small, well stocked kitchen area, great flat screen TV, wireless internet, comfortable bed, small outdoor deck and two refrigerators plus one freezer, it contains all necessary amenities.
The location is ideal for the outdoor enthusiast. I fished several of the regions' lakes, plus the Truckee River during my stay. Access to hiking is also excellent. A big plus is the proximity to the town of Truckee, which has lots of character plus great restaurants and pubs!
Trudy and Mark were the most gracious hosts! It is important to know that while they live on the premises, there was never an issue of feeling that there was not enough privacy. The lodge is close to the main home, but Mark and Trudy were most respectful of the fact that I was on vacation! I would highly recommend this little gem if you're planning a few days in Truckee to fish, hike, ski or just get away from it all!

Your loft, kitchen and large new shower were all wonderful. Nights were quiet with virtually no traffic on the residential street which makes your location easy to find. Walks through the neighborhood in the morning were refreshing and all others seen on the route were friendly and polite, including Einstein - the neighbors loveable but shy lab who would walk on the deck in the morning and stand waiting for me to give him a pat on the head while I drank coffee and discussed the events for the upcoming day. As owners, you were close by and helpful if we had questions, but were never intrusive. The 700 sq ft space seemed very spacious, the beds very comfortable, and there was everything we needed to have a wonderful stay, We put this property down as a great find in our ventures away from home. When we come back to the Tahoe area, no question where we will try to stay. "A peaceful Kaua'i retreat for family" "We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. We were traveling with our daughter, my sister and my parents, and found the space more than met our needs. It was a welcome, quiet retreat after coming off of the busy part of our vacation on the Big Isle. We fell in love with Kauai, due in no small part to this restful place on the north shore. The Vella home has everything you need (one of our best meals was fresh fish my husband grilled on the lanai, purchased up the road at the Dolphin Fish Market). The other amenities. (One morning we paired off to do some various planned activities separately -- golf, botanical gardens, zipline tour -- and were within just a few miles of each other and
the house. Easy and fun! Everyone said it was the best' day.) Trudy was great host with quick followup communication, and offers an affordable rate plan. The home was beautifully cleaned at our arrival and very nicely maintained throughout ... the Koa wood floors are something to marvel! Enjoy your stay without hesitation."

My husband, 2 1/2-year old daughter and I stayed at this house for three nights and really enjoyed it -- we were sorry we had to leave so soon.

The neighborhood was very quiet and convenient to everything. There was a house being built next door but the workers were working inside, and we did not hear them at all.

This Princeville home is lovely, well kept and has all

We absolutely were please with the home,neighborhood,and the SITES. We will never stay in a hotel after the experience of renting a home. For a family with small children, the luxury of all conviences of home and more, made our vacation soo relaxing and truely enjoyable. Such a wonderful home with a wonderful atmosphere.

This vacation rental house is beautiful. We found everything as described in the information. Great rental if you are coming to Kauai. If it is available when we return later in the year, we will try to rent it.
